Late Sunday afternoon El Menchito died from an infection stemming from previously sustained wounds. He was receiving treatment in a hospital when the hospital began to collapse from structural failure. While he and most of the staff and patients, along with Menchito escaped the collapse, the panic caused his wound to reopen. Officials suspect that the polluted air caused by the debris. The infection then caused his lungs to collapse and his brain to clott. He was pronounced dead at 3:45pm PST. More on this story as it unfolds.
