BREAKING: Cartels and Vigilante Ally in Attack
SAN DIEGO -- According to eyewitnesses in Baja California, what was supposed to be a peaceful evening turned violent when gunfire between rival cartels erupted. Source say that over one hundred members of the Jalisco Cartel and Baja California vigilante coalition opened fire on 30 members of the Los Zeta Cartel.
After a brief, yet explosive gunfight, all 30 Los Zetas cartel members and five Vigilantes were pronounced dead on the scene. The Los Zeta cartel had little time to respond. Accounts provided to the BBC indicate that the Jalisco Cartel brought military grade weapons.
This alliance between cartel and vigilante is unprecedented and is expected to stir significant controversy in the Mexican government and other Vigilante groups throughout Mexico.
