State Department Urges
U.S. Citizens to Leave Mexico
"Increasingly
alarmed about the violent mexican political upheaval, the United States sharply
raised the threat level in its travel advisory to mexico, warning citizens to
defer visits and advising American residents there to leave.
the State Department
has ordered the evacuation of “nonemergency U.S. government personnel and
family members from mexico due to the ongoing political, social, and unrest
from cartels."
