Is Diplomacy Really the Answer to the Recent Violence in Mexico?

In a recent interview with the Assistant Secretary of State for the  Western Hemisphere, calls for more diplomatic action were made. “US and Mexico has to do a better job of putting a culture, an atmosphere where people don’t want to join the cartels. This is probably a generational issue.”

With a predicted influx of violence that may spill into San Diego, it is paramount that our nation’s second amendment is protected. It is likely that we will see a rise in the number of violently-inclined illegals into our nation. “Our administration is a supporter of the second amendment.” Yet, it is clear that Obama administration is anything but a supporter of this constitutional right.

However, the Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere prefers an increase of diplomatic action. This journalist cannot help but wonder if this would be the correct course of action when dealing with these violent cartels and vigilantes.
