Mexican Crisis Raises Concern in Washington

WASHINGTON-- The United States government has been put on high alert this weekend in response to the shocking attack on the Mexican National Assembly, sources at the United States Department of Homeland Security report.

Though tensions on the border have been high in recent days with the increased violence in northern Mexico, “the number of agents assigned at any time has been doubled” says American Border Patrol Agent Lucio Marconi, “I’ve never seen agents more focused on ensuring nobody gets through since the attacks on 9/11”.
